UTP CAT 5E: Category 5E cable includes four twisted pairs of copper or CCA wires in a single cable jacket. UTP CAT5E is an unshielded twisted pair cable designed for extremely high signal integrity. In 2001, the CAT 5 cabling specification was made obsolete and superseded by the category 5e specification. Cat5e is the most common cable used today for voice and data networks. It’s most commonly used for 100Mbit/s networks.
